What Is Spiritually Guided Dreamwork?
Spiritually Guided Dreamwork at its foundations is based on the reality that we do have a Soul, a deeper Transcendent Self and that there is a deeper purpose to our lives beyond the current chaotic world that we live in.
To have at its centre of its framework a Transcendent Self, makes Spiritual Psychology radically different to most modern psychological approaches, which are often atheistic and ultimately see the brain in a strictly mechanistic manner. This profound difference in Spiritual Psychology allows us to understand and interpret dreams meaningfully and accurately. We view our dreams as profound communication and guidance from the Soul/Deeper Self to our own conscious ego. Being able to accurately interpret our dreams by using authentic spiritual dream interpretation is vitally important for our spiritual / psychological health, particularly when someone is going through a Spiritual Awakening or seeking a deeper meaning to their life. Because our dreams come from a higher aspect of ourselves, the symbolic language of dreams is beyond using a purely rational / left hemisphere approach to try and understand them. To learn the symbolic language of dreams requires deep study of the Soul, of symbols, of metaphor, of allegory. It also requires a knowledge of how the symbols that appear in our own dreams have evolved over human history and this can be achieved through the study of cultural mythology, religion and spiritual practices.
My role as guide and dream interpreter is to work with people who are committed to evolving spiritually. By bringing accurate, spiritual dream interpretation into a person’s life, they have the opportunity to move towards a knowing of the Soul, rather than it being about faith or curiosity. Spiritually Guided Dreamwork is also about teaching people the art of spiritual dream interpretation with the goal of each person becoming ever more capable of interpreting their own dreams to discover the higher guidance being offered.
Spiritually Guided Dreamwork allows each of us to reach an understanding and knowing that there is something much deeper taking place within the human experience and if we commit to working with our dreams to discover their real meaning, we can strengthen our connection with that deeper spiritual / transcendent reality. Dreamwork is a powerful spiritual practice, an authentic inner-wisdom tradition. Learning to work with our dreams daily and apply this inner wisdom to our lives allows for genuine transformation and healing to take place.
